WICCAN DISCLAIMER:
Ok, I know what you're thinking. What's a "Charmed" page doing
on a serious Wiccan site? Well, I have a "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"
tribute in my Vampires & Gothic section, so, after much debate, I decided
to put this page in the Witchcraft section. I will be the first to admit
that "Charmed" does not represent Wicca as it really is, but it's
turning into quite a fun little show and I thought it should be included
in The Morgue in some fashion. Protesting "Charmed" would be like
protesting "Bewitched", it's pure fantasy. The girls do follow
the basic rules of Wicca: harm none, don't profit uneccessarily from your
own magic (don't be greedy, in other words), and they protect the innocent
from the evil influences in the world. This twenty-something spinoff of
"The Craft" (down to even using Love Spit Love's song "How
Soon Is Now?"), a movie which generated much protest within the Wiccan
community, is developing into actually quite a good show, the characters
are compelling, and they can do a lot of neat tricks I wish that I myself
could do. (I would pick Prue's ability to move objects, I believe...)
