  5. I know that my birth mother is Irish, English and German
  6. and probably from Louisiana
  7. But I'm a native Houstonian
  8. All I know of my birth father is he had red hair
  9. I was born with red hair
  10. which turned blonde then brown as I got older
  11. I’m a Capricorn
  12. I was born at approx. 4 am on ... a Wednesday!
  13. I'm one of the last of the baby boomer generation

  15. Me, my brother, my father and grandmother all have birthdays within less than two weeks of each other
  16. My mother-in-law’s birthday is also one day after mine
  17. Christmas shopping has always been really stressful
  18. When I was a kid we would get one cake and one big dinner for me and my brother’s birthdays
  19. But his birthday was on New Year’s Day so we’d get to go out for New Year’s Eve to an adult restaurant
  20. Our birthday cake often had sparklers on it instead of candles
  21. My birthday dinner was usually lobster ;-)
  22. I’m 5’1”
  23. I’m not petite, though, I have actually an average sized frame
  24. I’m very short waisted, I personally think I have a few vertebrae missing and should actually be about 5’5”
  25. I’ve always had trouble finding clothing that fits properly because of that and I because I have wide shoulders
  26. I wear an 8 1/2 sized shoe, and used to be a 4A with a 6A heel

  33. I didn’t know many of the names of the streets in my neighborhood until I started driving because I wasn’t able to see that far
  34. I got contacts when I was 18, but had to stop wearing them in my late twenties because of dry eyes and allergies so I got RK
  35. It worked great for about 12 years, but made me slightly farsighted instead and worsened my night vision, then I started having fairly severe problems
  36. I also had eye surgery for a retinal detachment when I was about 20
  37. When I was about 40 I had to start wearing glasses again for reading, then for distance also, oh well

  39. One of my biggest fears is losing my vision
  40. My vision is also screwed up now because I have MS
  41. I can pretty much pin the date down when I developed it (at age 23) but it wasn’t diagnosed till I was about 35

  45. got married (and divorced two years later)
  46. got pregnant
  47. miscarried because of a really bad case of PID (before I even knew I was pregnant)

  55. I still eat some of the foods I’m allergic to anyway, I just itch ;-)

  92. I was a virgin until just after my 21st birthday
  93. Probably because my first big crush in junior high school was gay

  103. My best friend was the male champ (he beat me)

  114. he lived with me and we dated on and off for about 9 years
  115. He never asked me to marry him
  116. so I said yes to the first person who did
  117. I wish I wouldn't have
  118. He'd been married three time before and was seven years older than me
  119. Then boyfriend #1 came back around, all upset
  120. but still made no offers
  121. He was my “bad boy”
  122. He’s been arrested twice, happily I wasn’t dating him at either time
  123. but I learned a lot from him
  124. We used to go to fires together and bring the firemen donuts and coffee
  125. He hooked a police light bar up to my old Firebird and blew all the fuses
  126. I’ve had a gun since I turned 21
  127. I put it in layaway when I was still 20
  128. The guy at Oshman’s freaked out when he found out I had but was glad I didn’t pay it off till I turned 21
  129. I currently have two Smith & Wesson revolvers
  130. a stainless .357 and an airweight .38
  131. My first car was a 1979 (new) light blue Camaro
  132. It was stolen several years later and I got the Firebird (1976?) with a 400 hp engine
  133. then I floated it through flood waters which ruined the transmission
  134. I left it at the mechanic’s so long they transferred the title to them
  135. But I got it back (had it towed to my apartment)
  136. So I got a 1973 green Corvette with an L48 350 engine
  137. It was my favorite car (Bill Bixby had a '73 Vette on The Magician, I've loved them ever since)
  138. My ex-husband totaled it by hitting a parked car at our apartment complex
  139. I still think he did it on purpose
  140. He had a piece of crap old car, that threw a rod on the freeway when we were literally driving to pick up our next car, another new Camaro
  141. Which was totaled a few months after we leased it by a drunk driver
  142. and the insurance company had it rebuilt anyway . It never ran right after that, either
  143. But we sued the drunk who hit us and got an obscene amount of money
  144. and we bought two motorcycles and decided to start a business with the rest of the money
  145. I bought a brand new black 1986 Suzuki Intruder
  146. It looked just like a Harley, and was one of two bikes made that I could reach the ground from
  147. I never got a proper motorcycle license
  148. I was never very good at riding it but I looked really cool and had a black leather fringed jacket and black leather pants
  149. I still have them but they don’t fit anymore
  150. The poor Camaro was in another major collision on the freeway with a large chunk of metal that flew out of a truck in front of us the week before we moved out of town
  151. then it got repossessed
  152. then I got divorced and was left with just a motorcycle
  153. Which I traded for a Ford Mustang with electrical problems
  154. which I later traded for a 1978 Datsun 280Z with engine problems
  155. Both cars were standard transmissions
  156. I had to teach myself to drive a standard
  157. My boss at work basically dropped one off for me to drive and “told” me how to drive it
  158. After lots of gear grinding I eventually learned how
  159. Then my parents felt sorry (and worried) for me and bought me a 1991 black Cutlass
  160. which has had major engine and transmission problems since it was new
  161. I still have it
  162. It has less than 100,000 miles and has had three transmissions and the engine rebuilt several times
  163. I want a new car really badly :-(
  164. Preferably a sports car, I really miss V8 engines...
  165. I’m an above average driver, the fastest I’ve ever gotten a car up to is about 120 mph
  166. I used to get stopped a lot but have only gotten a few tickets (my driver's license had a photo of me in uniform and I often had a badge in my wallet for work)
  167. I don’t drive as fast anymore
  168. I’m not a good passenger in a car, I get motion sickness if I have to sit in the back seat
  169. I also can’t ride roller coasters, but I love rides that go really fast and around in circles (just no drops or rolls)
  170. I’ve lived in twelve different places
  171. All leased under my name (except my parents house)
  172. Now we own our own house
  173. Less than a mile from my parents
  174. We hope to stay here for a very long time
  175. My first job was as a library assistant
  176. Then I sold small appliances part time at the department store that my dad worked at
  177. His name was on everyone’s paychecks
  178. And my brother worked there also
  179. I tried to go to college full time
  180. And dropped out after less than two years
  181. Then I sold vacuums for a bit
  182. and worked as a security dispatcher at night
  183. then as a patrol officer full time at a hospital and medical building at night
  184. Then I left that company and worked as an apartment patrol officer for the largest (at the time) group of apartments in the country, usually from about 10 pm to 6 am
  185. Which was my favorite job of all time
  186. I wanted to be a police officer
  187. I applied to like half a dozen departments in Houston and Austin
  188. I always passed all the tests, did really well actually, but they never hired me
  189. Too small, female and too white (they actually told me that, I'm not kidding)
  190. After the car accident we moved to a small town in central Texas and opened a gym
  191. it failed in less than five months, not enough customers
  192. Then we moved to Austin and I went back to work at the same department store company as a store detective
  193. and got divorced
  194. and also worked part time at night as a patrol officer and dispatcher for the first security company I’d worked for in Houston
  195. After three years I got homesick and transferred back to Houston
  196. and worked in the sales auditing department as an internal investigator
  197. Which was my least favorite job of all time, mostly because of the people I worked with and the horrid monotonous work
  198. After five years of that hell I finally got a transfer to a buying office
  199. and got my favorite boss of all time
  200. But after a few years she left and the bosses kept declining and workload level increasing till finally I got an insane one and called it quits for the sake of my health and took a medical leave
  201. Which lasted two years until they finally realized I was still on their insurance payroll and they layed me off
  202. It’s the only time in my life I’ve ever been let go from a job
  203. Even though all the companies I worked for have had major layoffs
  204. Now I work at home and sell stuff on eBay

  218. A psychic in Austin predicted that I would meet him and even described him physically
  219. We’re both collectors
  220. Our house, garage and attic are completely full, but we still keep buying stuff ;-)
  221. But it’s all really well organized, because of my OCD I’m an organizing freak

  223. Now we have just one pet, a black over white smoke Burmese cat

  225. My parents never let us have indoor pets when I was a kid because of mine and my brother’s allergies
  226. My brother smoked two packs a day and has hardly any allergies any more even though his were severe as a child

  253. And I sometimes collect poison bottles and death and post mortem photos and items
